Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is committed to inviting young voices to join the conversation about Shakespeare, the classics, and drama. We bring Shakespeare into your curriculum or even your classroom through several programs:

  • Study Guides
    Created by CSC's Education Program, our Study Guides contain everything you need to prepare students to understand and enjoy our productions.
  • Two Hours’ Traffic
    Seven actors from Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Young Company and Resident Ensemble are on tour, performing Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
  • Student Matinees and Group Rates
    Attend a weekday matinee of one of our mainstage productions.
  • Shakespearience
    Three Cincinnati Shakespeare Company actors visit your classroom to perform and discuss scenes, enriching your learning environment.
  • In the Classroom
    A Cincinnati Shakespeare Company actor visits your classroom to discuss the plot and characters of any Shakespeare play in detail.
  • In Love with Shakespeare
    A 45-minute comedic showcase of the Bard's iconic love scenes and sonnets.
  • Academic Content Standards
    CSC's Education Program is dedicated to helping you guide your students to the highest achievements.  Click on the above link to find the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana Department of Educations' Academic Content Standards for the subjects related to our performances and workshops.  You'll find your state's applicable content area - Fine Arts, Humanities, and/or English/Language Arts - and its alignment with CSC's education program offerings.

    Acting Classes
    Cincinnati Shakespeare Company offers a variety of educational experiences taught by CSC Resident Actors. For young adults, join the acting ensembles Groundlings and Groundlings, Jr.! For adult learners of all ages, check out Bard Academy - classes on acting, Shakespeare and literature.

  • Shakespeare Summer Camp
    A one-week theater day camp, each June gives middle school and high school students the opportunity to work with members of the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company ensemble.
