In our 18th season, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, as Cincinnati's Stage for the Classics, is pleased to satisfy your craving for the best plays ever written—performed by your very own resident company of actors.
If your heart's desire is to spend the evening delighting in the folly of romance across the ages, then you will fall in love with this season's Bedroom Farce by Alan Ayckbourn, Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost, and the Regional Premiere of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility by Jon Jory, author of last season's sold-out hit Pride and Prejudice.
If history is more your inclination, we have a theatrical treasure for you. A Man for All Seasons by Robert Bolt will receive the royal treatment by being paired with Shakespeare's final history play, Henry VIII: All Is True, with the same ensemble of actors playing the same roles in two very exciting and unique plays.
Finally, if you are as passionate as I am for epic stories that illuminate the best and worst that we are capable of, then CSC has just what you require. We are very pleased to bring you Frank Galati's Tony Award-winning adaptation of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath and William Shakespeare's two most breathtaking dramas: Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice.
