Season 19

Season 19 at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will mark my tenth anniversary as the artistic leader of this fantastic organization. What a wonderful journey these ten years have been.
Ten years ago I sat at a table with a group of artists and administrators that all shared a common passion: to establish Cincinnati Shakespeare Company as a resident ensemble theatre bringing Shakespeare and the classic to life for audiences of all ages. We made that the mission statement of the company as we embarked on a new era for what was a small but ambitious arts organization on the verge of growing up. We dreamed big, planned wisely, took a deep breath and we were off.
A decade has passed and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company has kept its promise to our audience, artists and supporters by remaining invested in our mission, being responsible in our finances and staying constant in our programming. We see more patrons and more students every season while attracting more artists to Cincinnati and keeping them here. We are Cincinnati’s stage for the classics and we are honored that you have embraced us. You have made our family a part of your family. CSC has had more success than that tiny group could have ever imagined and for that we are forever grateful to you.
I am proud to announce that Season 19 at CSC will be filled with the same type of wonderful stories we promised ten years ago and still produce with passion a decade later. William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Measure for Measure, Titus Andronicus and Richard II will be brought to life on our stage, providing a little bit of everything that makes the Bard great. The Importance of Being Earnest will provide laughs for audiences of all ages while great works of literature such as The Hound of the Baskervilles, To Kill a Mockingbird and Les Liaisons Dangereuses will leap off the page as our resident ensemble brings these great works to life. 
We hope you will find the season as inspiring as we do. It is a season that celebrates how exciting the last ten years have been at CSC and promises that the next chapter of our journey together will be something you will not want to miss. Come with us as we turn the page and write the future of CSC together.
