Shakespeare Summer Camp
Shakespeare Summer Camp is a one-week theater day camp for middle school and high school students. Campers work with members of the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company Acting Ensemble throughout the week, learning the basics of acting, stage combat, movement, and text analysis for the actor. This exciting camp has grown into a three-tiered program for students of all levels of experience. Hosted by Xavier University in the Gallagher Student Center, Shakespeare Summer Camp introduces students to all aspects of professional theater in a beautiful and modern facility.
Camp I: A Midsummer Night's Dream
June 9 - 13, 2008, 9am - 5pm
Performance for Family and Friends on Friday June 13 at 7:00pm
Camp includes beginner's classes in acting, combat, text analysis, and movement. All campers perform in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the end of the week. Open to students who have completed 6th or 7th grade. Recommended for first-year campers.
Camp II: Random Acts of Shakespeare
June 16 - 20, 2008, 9am - 5pm
Performance for Family and Friends on Friday June 20 at 7:00pm
Our intermediate level camp allows students to study scenes in-depth from Shakespeare's comedies. Students must audition for this program for role assignment on May 3, 2008.
Open to students who have completed 7th - 9th grade.
Camp III: The Shakespeare Intensive
June 23 - 27, 2008, 9am - 5pm
Performance for Family and Friends on Friday June 27 at 7:00pm
Campers will stage scenes from the Bard's romances, tragedies, and comedies. Must commit to memorizing roles in advance and audition for role assigment on May 3, 2008. Open to students who have completed 10th-12th grade.

Please note:
- Campers must pack their own lunch.
