The Life and Death of King John

The Life and Death of King John
by William Shakespeare

Coming to the CSC stage for the first time, William Shakespeare’s classic historical tale picks up where last season’s The Lion in Winter left off. King Henry II has died, bequeathing his crown to The Black Prince, John. But John’s kingdom is not a happy one. Everyone is trying to manipulate him: from his powerful mother, Eleanor of Aquitaine, to the King of France, to his own court. Will King John be able to restore England to her once-enviable glory, or will the pressures of running a kingdom contribute to his own downfall? See history come alive as The Life and Death of King John is revealed.
