Two Hours’ Traffic

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Touring Company, comprised of six professional actors, will be touring A Midsummer Night's Dream and Hamlet in the 2010-2011 school year. These productions clock in under two hours, and the Touring Company can perform in almost any space (approximately 15' x 20'), including gyms, theaters, and libraries. The show concludes with a question-and-answer session to allow the students to talk with the actors and gain new insight into the play. Appropriate for sixth grade and up.

A Midsummer Night's Dream
What happens when feuding fairies meddle in the love lives of human couples?  Comical adventures, mistaken identities, and a silly play-within-a-play!  In this whimsical forest, a happy ending is guaranteed for both sprites and mortals alike.

HAMLET
Is the young prince a poetic genius tricked into tragedy by his all-consuming grief or a mad fool determined to seek revenge? The melancholic and tormented title character of Hamlet struggles to define his fate, as well as retain his sanity, after he finds out devastating truths about those closest to him. Will he take the plunge into vengeance?
